We, The Word Graphics Team is based in the Philippines. Also, we have contributing artists all over the world. Looking forward on sharing faith, ideas and designs to bring more excitement in reading and exploring God's magnificent works. This is a part of our mission to bring kids and young people know more about God's word.

Manga History
Japanese manga got its start in 1959 when two magazines, “Weekly Shonen Sunday” and “Weekly Shonen Magazine,” were launched the same day. They were a big hit and provided initial fuel for the manga boom.
In Japan, the word “manga” simply means “comic.” But to the world, “manga” has come to be equated with the particular artistic style of comic creation originating in Japan, and has gained tremendous popularity around the globe.
The Head
Askel dela Cruz
A senior pastor and the Managing Editor of The Word Graphics Team. He is in-charge of the Church's official magazine, The Word. A professional writer and the first illustrator since the media department started.
The Artists
Jonah Onix
A professional manga artist and a 2d animator from Iloilo City, Philippines. The first digital illustrator of the team to create a Bible story into manga style since 2008.
Em Enriquez
A Fine Arts graduate. Assigned in magazine designs, infographics, and promotional ads.
Jonard Tacbad
A junior member of the team. A professional graphic artist from Arayat, Pampanga City, Philippines. Assigned in 3d designs, architectural matters and a technician inside the office.
The Consultant
Hana Enriquez
A Fine Arts graduate and a minister. A The Word Consultant, assigned in graphic designs and special projects of the Team since 2010. Currently, the OIC of Cornerstone Dept.
Leah Berdan
A professional lay-out artist and a minister from Pasig City, Philippines. Assigned as a team leader on all lay-out designs and special projects since 2010.
Adi de Guzman
A graphic and lay-out artist of the team from Mandaluyong, Philippines. Assigned as a team leader in magazine designs and lay-outs.
Daniel Gajon
A junior member of the team. A traditional and digital illustrator from Batangas City, Philippines. Assigned in creating Bible characters and stories into anime/manga style.
Aldrin Buenavista
A junior member of the team. A digital artist from Marikina City, Philippines. Assigned in chibified version or cute/kawaii designs.

A professional writer from San Jose, Nueva ecija. Assigned in Global and Local News for Church Update and articles for special projects. His poems and essays already published on the magazine.

A writer from Malate, Manila. Assigned in Church News and articles for the magazine. Also assigned in audio encoding and transcription.
Jessa Zolina
A writer from Aklan City. Assigned in audio encoding and transcription.
Amy Caraballe
A media enthusiast from Sampaloc, Manila. Assigned in audio message encoding and transcription.
Circulation Staff
Julien Boncocan
The Circulation Head and a minister from Marikina City. In-charge of the promotion and advertisement of the Church's magazine. Not only for local but also assigned in global subscription and distribution.
Mira Macapagal
A media enthusiast from Muñoz. Assigned in subscription records of local and global churches.
